About This Course

This course is designed for returning LFA students or those with prior shooting experience who want to reinforce fundamental skills and further develop their accuracy, control, and stability.

​

Training is conducted on our private multipurpose outdoor range, specifically designed for dynamic drills, movement-based shooting, and realistic scenarios that go far beyond what typical indoor facilities can offer.

Attendance is flexible—students may arrive and leave anytime during the scheduled session; full participation is not required.

Experience Requirements
 

• Completed a live-fire course with Legacy Firearms Academy (LFA)

• Active or former Law Enforcement or Military

• Competitive shooter with experience in USPSA, IDPA, or IPSC

Practice Outline
 

1. Arrival & Safety Briefing

• Check in upon arrival at the range

• Participate in a mandatory safety briefing led by an Instructor or Range Safety Officer (RSO)
   

2.Goal Setting & Session Planning

• Define your training objectives (e.g., accuracy, draw speed, trigger control)

• Instructor will help structure the session based on your goals
   

3. Preparation & Gear Up

• Ready your firearm(s), ammo, magazines, and targets

• Wear required safety gear: eye and ear protection
   

4.Warm-Up Drills

• Begin with fundamentals: stance, grip, sight alignment, and trigger press

• Confirm red dot optic zero (if applicable)
   

5.Focused Practice & Skill Development

• Run targeted drills based on your goals

• Receive real-time feedback and corrections

• Rework techniques to improve efficiency and performance
   

6.Debrief & Clean-Up

• Collect all brass and remove target materials

• Review progress, key takeaways, and suggested next steps with the instructor

• Please note: All bookings are non-refundable due to range rental and setup costs.

• Check your follow-up email prior to the course for detailed information and instructions.

• All participants must follow the commands of the Range Safety Officer (RSO) at all times. Safety violations will result in immediate removal without refund.
